What is Recycled Polyester?
Recycled Polyester is a version of polyester that is made out of recycled materials – sometimes recycled fibers or sometimes other recycled plastics, such as plastic bottles. We use standards such as The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) and Recycled Claim Standard to ensure recycled products meet our standards.
By using recycled polyester instead of virgin polyester, we hope to achieve:
- Lower energy consumption: Using recycled polyester reduces energy consumption by 30% in the production of one shirt.
- Lower environmental pollution: Recycled polyester reduces environmental waste compared to virgin polyester.
